Regensburg, Cyclist everywhere

Regensburg,  Cyclist Everywhere  =========================== -Regensburg city is full of cyclist  .   Bicycles are parked everywhere, every corner as you walk along the ancient small lanes with cobbled stones neatly and tidily fixed . Statistically,  there are about 73 million people owns bicycle out of Germany's 82 million population.  More than 30% of the German bikes to work.   I noted that the cycling lanes, dedicated lane especially,  are continuously under construction and expansion.   Hopefully,  50% of the people could cycle to work by the end 2030.     -Beers hv been the basic culture of the German . German monasteries have been producing beer for mass consumption since around the end of the first millennium, the year 1000.  Interesting to see how they evolved from alcohol beers into alcohol frei ( free, <05%).   In the above pictures,  most of them are taking alc

Landshut city , Bavaria

Landshut, city, Bavaria state, southeastern Germany. It lies on the Isar River northeast of Munich. Named for its early position as the protector (Hut) of the neighbouring district, it was founded in 1204, when the duke of Bavaria built a fortress there, and was chartered in 1279. The town is most famous as the location of one of the biggest medieval and historical festivals in Europe, the so-called “Landshuter Hochzeit” (Landshut Wedding). Over 2,000 locals participate in the pageant, wearing original 15th century garments when the event is hosted every four years. During World War II, a subcamp of Dachau concentration camp was located in the city to provide slave labour for local industry. The city was taken by US troops on April 29, 1945. Candi Prambanan, Yogyakarta

Candi Prambanan  The amazing Hindu Temple since 850 CE ,  means 1167 years ago =================================== During my 5 day cycling trip, 30th June till 3rd July,  that went through Borobudur temple,  Gunung Merapi Volcano,  Prambanan and Yogyakarta old city,   the one destination that amazed me tremendously was Prambanan Temple.  I was trying to capture all the detailed crafted sculpture photos and counting the number of gods but I failed finally because there were just too many.   Sitting at one of the corners while waiting for other riders, I started pondering following; How many gods are there in Hindu religion? Who started this temple project and why?  Why was this temple destroyed? Answers to 1 ; Hinduism 's deities has evolved from 33 to >100.  The major deities were Vishnu,  Lakshmi,  Shiva,  Parvati,  Brahma and Saraswati
